SEOUL, Dec. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — K-pop agencies are jumping into the non-fungible token (NFT) market as it rises as the new ‘blue chip’ in the entertainment industry.
South Korean indie band Glen Check joined hands with music NFT company 3PM to issue 1,111 NFTs based on the theme of ‘Seven Deadly Sins’.
First off, they will give away 111 NFTs for the limited edition of White Rabbit from 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve until 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 via 3PM’s official website.
Next, the company plans to sell ‘The Rabbit Hole’, a collection of 7,777 NFTs, next month.
Earlier this year, K-pop girl group Brave Girls sold all 400 ‘M.Brave Girls’ NFTs in just a single minute after their release.
‘M.Brave Girls’ is a piece of moving photography depicting M.Brave Girls, a smart humanoid, going on an adventure to become a real human.
Humap Contents, an agency for artists and media, went a step further to introduce virtual K-pop artist Yuna to issue her NFTs.
Currently, almost every major K-pop agency has either jumped into the NFT market or is taking a close interest.
