Everland to Run Night Safari Tram

YONGIN, March 22 (Korea Bizwire)Everland, South Korea’s largest amusement park, plans to introduce a program that will allow users to enjoy a closer look at nocturnal carnivores such as lions, tigers and hyenas.

Everland announced that it will start operating the ‘night safari tram’ that will enable users to explore the safari world that about 50 carnivores of seven different types inhabit through a tram made with a transparent panoramic window.

The program will be operated every day until April 10 and will then be available every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays during the period from April 15 to May 15.

Considering the main activity hour of the nocturnal carnivores, the program will run from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. until mid-April, but the tours will start at 7:30 p.m. thereafter.

The night safari tram will operate at a frequency of 20 minutes, and tickets will be available through advance reservation. Remaining tickets can be purchased on the spot.

The special tram will cost a separate usage fee of 15,000 won (US$12.27) per person.
