SEOUL, May 23 (Korea Bizwire)On May 22, in celebration of Korea’s idol boy band EXO’s leader Suho, an EXO fan site, “Olbut: Like the Moon beyond the Clouds” has made a 1,204,080 won donation to the Seoul Aquatic Rehabilitation Center at the Seoul Community Rehabilitation Center.

“Olbut: Like the Moon beyond the Clouds” is a community consisted of EXO lovers in their 20s. The name “Olbut” stands for “kindred spirits rooting for EXO in righteous way” in Korean, and the fan site members aim to lead a positive fan culture.

The band EXO is famous for its fictional background story in which the members are supposed to be aliens from EXO Planet in outer space, each with different superhuman power.

“On an EXO member’s birthday, we raise a fund to make a donation in the birthday member’s name for a cause which is relevant to the supposed superhuman ability he has,” explained a fan site representative.

In order to give the EXO leader the “proper” birthday celebration he deserved according to such tradition, the fans have searched for organizations or causes which can be associated with the keyword of Suho’s ability, “water,” and have decided to make a donation to the Seoul Aquatic Rehabilitation Center.

The center is the nation’s first aquatic rehabilitation organization founded by the Seoul Community Rehabilitation Center in 1997. The center has offered aquatic physical therapy to people suffering from both acquired and congenital disabilities and contributing to the improvement and maintenance of the public health.

The Seoul Aquatic Rehabilitation Center plans to spend the donated money to purchase necessary appliances for aquatic treatment for the senior and handicapped.
