SEOUL, Aug. 5 (Korea Bizwire)Obvious product placement has finally appeared on the popular TV series “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.”

As a series that’s been praised for a lack of inappropriate product placement, this comes as a disappointment to viewers.

In the 11th episode that aired last Wednesday, there was a scene where Woo’s colleague Choi Soo-yeon went out of her office to meet her boyfriend.

There, the camera zoomed in on a multi-balm, a multi-use moisturizer stick, placed on a desk.

Choi was seen picking up the multi-balm and applying it to her neck and lips with a look of satisfaction on her face.

The product has appeared in a variety of TV series and has become well-known among viewers.

Previous speculation argued that the TV series was able to stay away from the excessive use of product placement thanks to a generous production budget, which has become one of the bases for the series’ success.

The Export-Import Bank of Korea reported in April last year that an average production budget for a 16-episode TV series stood at 10-13 billion won (US$7.70-23 million).

The production budget for “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” in contrast, was 20 billion won.
