Fan Cub of EXO’s Lay Sends Dolls to Children in Underdeveloped Countries

SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Korea Bizwire)A fan club of a member of popular K-pop group EXO prepared a special birthday present for the idol star. To commemorate the birthday of EXO’s Chinese member Lay which fell on October 7, the members of Lay’s fan club “Must Plan” made 110 corn socks dolls by themselves and sent to the children in underdeveloped countries through a Korean relief agency.

The corn socks dolls are made for emotional stability of children who feel insecure due to starvation, violent conflicts, family breakdown, and so on, and sponsors are supposed to make the dolls from the kits. Then, World Share, the relief agency which schemed out the dolls since 2013, will send the dolls to the children.

The fan club said, “To celebrate Lay’s birthday quite differently, we decided to make a special present for him by participation of fan club members, not just donating money. Our members did the needlework thinking of the children who would be pleased with the dolls.”

For the special presents, 108 members of the fan club made the dolls from September 22 to October 6. Along with the dolls, the fan club offered six piggy banks full of change money to the children.
