SEOUL, Sept. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — Instant noodle makers are introducing braille packaging for the blind.
Samyang Foods Co. said Tuesday that it will release a cup noodle edition of Buldak Bokkeummyeon (hot chicken-flavor type) and the Samyang Ramen, inscribed with braille, this month.
The Korean words for “Buldak” and “Samyang” will be inscribed in braille on the bottom of the cup.
In addition, a line will be embossed across the cup to help visually impaired persons to add the proper amount of hot water.
Ottogi Co. will also release two cup noodle backages with braille inscriptions next month with plans to expand the use of braille across all products.
