SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean K-pop boy band Shinee’s hit song “Lucifer” is making an appearance on U.S. TV show “Lucifer” on FOX.
Billboard reported on January 30 that the idol group’s tune is played in a scene from the show’s third season where Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is engaging in a fight with gang members.
The TV show follows the adventures of Lucifer, who decides to leave his position of ruler of hell and head to Los Angeles, where he becomes the proprietor of a night club and takes a stab at being a force for good by assisting the LAPD.
Shinee’s Lucifer was released in 2010 as the lead track for the group’s second album of the same name. The track achieved strong popularity not just in Asia but in Europe and South America.
Last December 18, lead singer Jonghyun passed away in what was concluded as an act of suicide. Shinee is continuing activities as a four-man group.
