SEOUL, Jun. 18 (Korea Bizwire) — The hotel industry has joined the trend of Newtro, “New+Retro,” a reinterpretation of retro, which has emerged as a marketing keyword for the retail and fashion industries since last year.
Implementing such a trend in the hotel industry is hard to think of in the past, when hotels were considered places for business or luxury accommodation.
Nowadays, however, attempts to provide fun and joy to customers are naturally made to reduce the distance as hotels transform into leisure and cultural spaces.
The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas will showcase its “Back to the 80′s – Newtro Summer Package” from Friday to the end of August to offer guests the change to enjoy the atmosphere from 30 years ago.
To this end, the hotel will decorate its Newtro Lounge to allow visitors to experience 1980s entertainment and music.
A tour package, where visitors can visit a hanok village on a rickshaw wearing hanbok, will be available to customers until the end of November.
Furthermore, some hotels have brought sensational classic games into the fold.
The Grand Hilton Seoul’s Grand Suite Residence, through its “Fun the Mental” package, allows guests to experience unique stay in the hotel while enjoying the classic board game “Blue Marble Game” together.
