SEOUL, June 15 (Korea Bizwire) — A foreign YouTuber revealed test results of folding Samsung Electronics Co.’s foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip3 thousands of times under harsh conditions.
Polish tech YouTuber ‘Mrkeybrd’ carried out a test in which a Galaxy Z Flip3 was folded and opened thousands of times on a live broadcast last week.
The video showed people coming in shifts to fold and open the model twice per second.
The test went on for 142 hours and 30 minutes, with the participants folding the smartphone some 418,506 times.
Aside from slight hinge damage, the Galaxy Z Flip3 continued to work properly.
“I did not receive any payment from Samsung or other companies for the live folding test,” the YouTuber said.
