SEOUL, April 26 (Korea Bizwire) – The trial run of a five-week dog training program run by Gangdong District in Seoul has successfully come to an end, with the graduation ceremony scheduled to take place at Gangdong City Farm on Saturday, the district office announced yesterday.
The five-week training program for pet dogs was launched in a bid to ease tensions between pet owners and their neighbors, which could be caused by a number of issues including barking and toilet training.
Dubbed “Gangdong Seodang”, referring to a traditional village school in Korean, the dog behavior modification program, held every Saturday over the period of five weeks, has helped dogs do away with problematic behavior, while teaching pet owners first aid and how to walk their dogs properly, with only the last session remaining.
The last class is also expected to be held at Gangdong City Farm, where dogs will be taught walking etiquette under the guidance of their owners, and have a chance to roam around freely and participate in a number of fun activities including disc-throwing.
