SEOUL, May 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul’s Gangnam District office on Sunday announced the appointment of 39 global healthcare coordinators to offer translation services to foreign visitors seeking medical treatment in South Korea.
The program, which began in 2011, aims to assist foreign patients visiting clinics in Gangnam District by providing dedicated medical translation services.
To ensure the safety and accuracy of the translation services, the district has selected a pool of certified freelance translators who have undergone the necessary education and accumulated significant field experience.
In this round of appointments, the district has also recruited an Arabic specialist to cater to visitors from the Middle East who are interested in receiving medical treatment in South Korea.
A total of 39 language specialists in nine languages, including English, Chinese, and Japanese, will participate in the program for the next two years.
