GANGNEUNG, June 12 (Korea Bizwire) — The northeastern coastal city of Gangneung in Gangwon Province will open two of its beaches to pets, the city government has said.
Anmok Beach, located near the popular Gangneung Coffee Street, will have a pet pool operating on a reservation basis.
However, pets will not be permitted to enter the sea.
Namhangjin Beach, on the other hand, will allow pets to enter the sea without requiring reservations.
Meanwhile, Gyeongpo Beach will open one week earlier than usual, starting from July 1 and lasting for 51 days.
The remaining beaches in the city will open on July 7 and be accessible for 45 days.
