CHUNCHEON, Sept. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — The Gangwon Tourism Organization is hosting the trekking event for nine days from Oct. 9-17 to experience the Untangodo Trail before its official opening next May.

The trail encompasses various tourist destinations, forest trails and landmarks including old mining sites in Cheongryongpo, Yeongwol and Manhangjae in Jeongseon County.
The trekking event will start from Manhangjae and split into two courses with a 14.2-kilometer course ending at the Dorongi Pond and a 32-kilometer course that goes all the way up to Saebijae in Jeongseon.
