SEOUL, July 14 (Korea Bizwire) — Genesis announced Monday that its flagship sedan, the G90, has been selected as the official ceremonial and protocol vehicle for Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior. The selection underscores the Kuwaiti government’s trust in the model’s premium quality and advanced safety features.
A total of 47 G90 vehicles will be deployed—40 for event operations and seven for official protocol duties. All units have been tailored to meet the specifications approved by Kuwait’s transportation authority.
Positioned as the pinnacle of Genesis’ design and technology, the G90 features a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, multi-chamber air suspension, and a rear-wheel steering system to ensure smooth ride quality and high-performance handling.
The sedan also offers advanced amenities such as easy-close doors, 3D surround sound, and ambient mood customization, making it especially suited for high-ranking dignitaries.
Genesis views the G90’s selection as a significant step toward expanding its footprint in the Middle Eastern luxury car market. “Following the G90’s 2021 adoption as the official vehicle for Kuwaiti parliamentarians, we are honored that it will now serve the Ministry of Interior,” said Omar Al-Zubaidi, Head of Genesis Middle East. “The G90 exemplifies Genesis’ commitment to safety, innovation, and refined design.”
Genesis has been steadily growing its presence in the region, including supplying GV80 SUVs to Dubai’s police fleet and offering electric G80 models, reinforcing its positioning as a premium automotive brand in the Middle East.
