SEOUL, Nov. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — Genesis, the luxury marque of Hyundai Motor Group, has been named the “Best Luxury Brand” by U.S. News & World Report, the company said Sunday, marking a major milestone as it continues to elevate its global profile.
The recognition comes as the American media outlet announced winners across six categories—luxury, SUV, passenger car, truck, electrified vehicles and luxury EVs—for its 2026 Best Car Brand Awards.
Genesis took the top luxury honor after earning high marks for quality, safety, design and value, surpassing fellow finalist Porsche.
Hyundai Motor also secured the title of “Best SUV Brand” for the second consecutive year, buoyed by strong reviews for models such as the Palisade and Tucson.
“Genesis has spent nearly a decade delivering world-class vehicles and premium customer experiences,” said Alex Kwanten, an editor at U.S. News & World Report. “It has clearly demonstrated competitiveness that exceeds other luxury brands.”
