SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Korea Bizwire) – Genesis, the independent luxury brand of Hyundai Motor Group, on Tuesday launched the GV60 Magma, its first high-performance electric vehicle (EV), in South Korea, the company said.
The GV60 Magma delivers the strongest performance among Genesis EV models, accelerating from zero to 200 kilometers per hour (kph) in 10.9 seconds and boasting a maximum speed of 264 kph.
Powered by an 84 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, the vehicle offers a driving range of 346 kilometers per charge, and comes with advanced electronic suspension and noise control features to ensure stable performance, ride comfort and improved cabin quietness.
The model is priced at 96.57 million won (US$65,676) before subsidies and comes in a single trim.
“As our first high-performance model, the GV60 Magma represents the first tangible result of turning our concept into reality and serves as a new starting point for Genesis,” a company official said.
