Giant Rubber Duck Returns to South Korea

SEOUL, Sept. 8 (Korea Bizwire)A giant yellow rubber duck is returning to Seoul’s Seokchon Lake eight years after its first visit.

Lotte Property & Development (P&D), the operator of South Korea’s tallest skyscraper, Lotte World Tower, is joining hands with Seoul’s Songpa District to host the Rubber Duck Project Seoul 2022 from Sept. 30 to Oct. 31.

The bigger-than-life rubber duck Dutch is created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. After first being exhibited in France in 2007, the rubber duck has traversed the globe, making stopovers in 16 countries.

In South Korea, the rubber duck was put up for exhibition in 2014 with the site visited by more than 5 million people.

A rubber duck balloon that is 18 meters tall, 19 meters wide and 23 meters long will be exhibited in Seokchon Lake during the event.
