SEOUL, Korea, Dec 29 (Korea Bizwire) – Software developer Planet 8 and e-payment solution provider PayGate said on December 27 that they would jointly launch “PayGate WooPay,” a payment module optimized for WooCommerce, an open source e-commerce plugin for WordPress. WordPress is a free and open source blogging tool and a content management system.
The module can be installed easily by any online shopping mall operator using a WordPress-based system. It supports a variety of different web browser environments including Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, as well as smartphones and Mac operating system.
Under the terms of the latest alliance, PayGate will be responsible for marketing for PayGate WooPay while Planet 8 is in charge of technical support and system maintenance. The two companies expect that the new payment module will accelerate the development of Korea’s WordPress ecosystem.
