SEOUL, Jan. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — General Motors has opened a new premium showroom in Seoul’s Songpa district, marking its first integrated retail space in South Korea for luxury brands Cadillac and GMC, the company said on Monday.
The Songpa showroom is GM’s first premium-channel dealership in the country to sell new vehicles from both brands under one roof. On display are flagship models such as the electric SUV Escalade IQ, the newly updated Escalade and the Lyriq, along with three GMC models scheduled for launch in the Korean market later this year.
In addition to sales consultations, the showroom will provide maintenance and after-sales services, reflecting GM’s effort to offer a more comprehensive ownership experience for high-end customers.
The opening is part of a broader expansion strategy. GM plans to establish additional Cadillac showrooms in western parts of the Seoul metropolitan area and in Busan in the first half of the year, while existing Cadillac dealerships will begin showcasing GMC vehicles.

Hector Villarreal, president and chief executive of GM Korea, said the Songpa showroom represents a strategic step to strengthen the company’s premium retail network in the country and to introduce Cadillac alongside GMC’s upcoming models.
Building on Cadillac’s strong performance in 2025 — when sales rose 23 percent from a year earlier — GM said it aims to further expand its premium-channel footprint and deepen engagement with Korean consumers, a market it continues to view as strategically important.
