SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean actor Lee Dong-wook, who recently appeared in “Goblin: The Lonely and Great God,” successfully finished his Asia tour to meet his fans, his management agency said Thursday.
The agency Kingkong by Starship said Lee wrapped up the Asian tour on July 23 in Taiwan after visiting Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand and Japan since March 12.
The actor gained pan-Asian popularity while playing the death angel in the hit 16-episode drama on the cable channel tvN.
He surprised fans by appearing from the audience seats every time he ran the event. The agency said the actor tried to maximize direct contact with fans by making eye contact, giving them high-fives and playing games with them.
Domestically, he regularly meets with his Korean fans online via a live talk show on Korea’s biggest portal site Naver. On Aug. 12, he will publically broadcast the show in front of a live audience in an outdoor theater at Seoul Land, an amusement park in Gwacheon, a Seoul suburb.
