INCHEON, May 7 (Korea Bizwire) — The Goryeosan Mountain Azalea Festival, the last azalea festival of the year in Korea, has wrapped up successfully.
More than 400,000 people visited the festival in Ganghwa County, which is a 10 percent increase from last year.
The festival held many interesting events, such as an azalea photograph exhibition, and a tasting of azalea sushi and azalea pancakes.
A demonstration of the construction of dolmens typical to Ganghwa County was also received enthusiastically by family visitors.
A Ganghwa County official said that although the azalea season is drawing to a close, royal azaleas around Ganghwa’s coast road still welcome visitors looking for the last vestiges of spring.
