SEOUL, March 8 (Korea Bizwire)An increasing number of self-employed people who lag behind in information capability compared to large businesses are adopting startup application services designed to help the operation of restaurants and stores.

Dodo Cart, a restaurant inventory management app operated by local startup Spoqa, provides an analytical report on the details of expenditures if self-employed restaurant owners register the specification of food materials in a photo format.

This report allows them to grasp the changes in food ingredient suppliers and major items as well as to reduce unnecessary expenses, thereby maximizing efficiency and cost reduction.

Dodo Cart launched its service in August 2020, with the number of users rising to 7,000 in November 2020 and about 100,000 by the end of last year.

Popular financial app Toss is running a finance management service for self-employed individuals. The number of users for this service reached 430,000 in late February.

The ‘Sajangnim (owner) service’ that Toss launched in November 2020 provides a variety of basic management tools needed for operation of stores, including ‘My Sales Book’ and ‘Issuance of Tax Invoice.’

On the basis of analysis of the areas where delivery app orders are placed frequently, it recommends the areas where self-employed individuals can enhance the efficiency of advertising.
