SEOUL, April 13 (Korea Bizwire) —GS E&C, the owner of the Xi apartment brand, is expanding into the single-family home market. The company announced on Thursday that its subsidiary, XiGEIST, which specializes in wooden modular houses, will launch its website and commence business-to-consumer (B2C) sales in earnest. The modular houses are produced in a factory and can be supplied within two months at the earliest, ensuring uniform quality.
The company has also introduced a “Small Housing ADU (Attachable Dwelling Unit)” that can be recycled and reduce the burden of construction costs. Customers can design their homes by combining standard modules, similar to assembling Lego blocks, without starting from scratch. The company has established two types of sample houses, and customers can choose the equilibrium zone, whether to have a single or multiple floors, and proceed with the design contract.
