SEOUL, June 2 (Korea Bizwire) — Customers have been flocking to a pop-up store that was recently opened in Busan by the convenience chain GS25.
GS25 and Won Spirits Co. opened up the pop-up store “GS Won” in Busan’s Busanjin District on Tuesday.
The shop was set up to celebrate the release of Won Soju Spirit, a type of distilled soju made with Korean rice and manufactured by Won Spirits, in all GS25 stores across the country in July.
The alcoholic beverage company was established by rap sensation Jay Park last year.
Customers lined up in front of the pop-up store from midnight with more than 1,000 people visiting the store on the very first day.
The pop-up store is allowing each customer to purchase no more than eight bottles, with a maximum of 15 customers in the store at once. Nevertheless, all 3,000 bottles prepared for day one sold out.
The pop-up store will be open until June 6, selling 30,000 bottles of Won Soju Spirit.
