SEOUL, May 16 (Korea Bizwire) — The ’2023 Haeundae Sand Festival’ in Busan is making a comeback after a four-year break. The festival will feature the works of overseas artists who were unable to attend in previous years due to the pandemic.
The theme of the festival is ‘Expo Sand Sea Toward the 2030 Future,’ with sand sculptures expressing the future, challenges of the Expo, and the fusion of nature and technology. Notable works include depictions of BTS, the ambassadors of the 2030 Busan World Expo.
Visitors can also enjoy the ‘Sand Observatory,’ a popular 7-meter-high sculpture that offers a unique photo opportunity. The festival will also showcase sculptures and gardens inspired by past Expo symbols, such as the Eiffel Tower and Ferris wheel.
