SEOUL, March 11 (Korea Bizwire) – Half of all office workers in South Korea haven’t been participating in family events following the coronavirus outbreak, a recent study revealed.
Job Korea, a job search portal, and Albamon, a recruitment website for part-timers, conducted a study of 947 office workers, 65.7 percent of whom were invited to family events.
Among them, 54.6 percent said they would not participate in those events. The majority of respondents were reluctant to join family events that involved dining.
At 85.6 percent, the vast majority of those not intending to go to family events said they ‘might have gone if there was no coronavirus.’
Slightly more than half of the respondents received calls that family events were either delayed or cancelled, showing how much the coronavirus outbreak is impacting the country.
