SEOUL, Nov. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean office software company Hancom Inc. said Tuesday it plans to launch an artificial intelligence-based assistance software similar to Copilot by Microsoft Corp. next year.
According to Hancom CEO Kim Yeon-su, the company aims to release a trial version of the program, tentatively named Hancom Assistant, in the first half of 2024 based on a smart document creation engine connected with various large language models (LLMs).
Kim, who announced the plan during a business strategy presentation at a hotel in Seoul, said the software will offer functionality similar to Microsoft’s Copilot, a generative AI assistant program.
According to Kim, Hancom Assistant will utilize LLMs to understand and analyze the user requests registered through natural language and automatically generate documents.
She also said Hancom aims to be ranked among the global big tech players within the next five years.
