SEOUL, Nov. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — Hanjin Logistics Corp., the logistics unit of South Korea’s Hanjin Group, said Friday it has partnered with DHL Supply Chain Korea to strengthen their domestic logistics networks and services.
The partnership is aimed at attracting new clients, leveraging each other’s expertise and knowledge, and jointly exploring business opportunities, the company said in a statement.
Hanjin and DHL plan to strengthen synergies across key industries, including pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, consumer retail, automotive and green logistics initially in the domestic market, it said.
“South Korea has over 20 free trade agreements, making it one of the economic powerhouses in Asia. It plays a critical role as a global hub, ranking among the world’s top 10 largest exporters and importers,” Edmund Hsiung, chief executive officer of DHL Supply Chain Korea, said.
With DHL’s extensive global network and Hanjin’s robust domestic capabilities, they are poised to facilitate new opportunities for international investors in Korea and support Korean brands in their global expansion, he said.
