SEOUL, Nov. 9 (Korea Bizwire) – On Wednesday, HD Hyundai Infracore announced the release of South Korea’s first 130-ton excavator designed for demolition, bearing the model name DX1000LC-7 Demolition. The company also recently delivered the inaugural unit.

Compared to existing models, the DX1000LC-7 Demolition has seen its working range grow by 10 meters, enabling work at a height of 46 meters, equivalent to the height of a 15-story building.

The new model is equipped with five front attachments, including a boom and arm, which can be attached or detached based on the height and purpose of the work.

For high-rise demolition, the cockpit can be tilted upward by up to 40 degrees, offering a wider field of vision and improved work safety by incorporating a counterweight.

The model also features a monitor camera, safety alarm device, dust reduction water spray, and an automatic crawler width extension function.

HD Hyundai Infracore entered the specialized demolition equipment market in 2019 with the release of a 64-ton demolition excavator. Subsequently, the company introduced 46-ton and 120-ton models. However, this marks the company’s first release of a 130-ton model.

Traditionally, high-rise building demolition has involved lifting and placing a medium-sized or small excavator on the rooftop, followed by demolishing the building from top to bottom. However, with the introduction of excavators equipped with demolition booms and arms, safety at demolition sites has been enhanced, and equipment size has grown.
