SEOUL, April 13 (Korea Bizwire) — TV home shopping channels are evolving towards the entertainment industry by adding fun and culture to their existing business of selling products.
CJ Onstyle, a home shopping unit of South Korean entertainment giant CJ ENM, on Wednesday aired a showcase for the upcoming tvN comedy drama series “Family.”
This comedy drama features the story of a National Intelligence Service agent who is disguised as an ordinary office worker and his wife who dreams of a perfect family.
Popular actor Jang Hyuk and actress Jang Na-ra star as a couple in the drama.
The two actors appeared on the showcase to introduce the characters they play. During the showcase that was held in a talk show format, they gave counseling on the troubles of actual couples.
During the broadcast of the showcase, CJ Onstyle received messages of encouragement instead of selling products, and said it would donate 1,000 won per comment to regional social welfare centers.
The showcase was aired simultaneously on TV, mobile live, the tvN drama YouTube channel and streaming service Tving.
