SEOUL, May 8 (Korea Bizwire)Four survivors and families of Koreans whose mysterious deaths were allegedly caused by a personal humidifier sterilizer agent will visit the main headquarters of Reckitt Benckiser in the U.K from May 19 to 22.

The association of the victims and the Asian Citizen’s Center for Environment and Health held a press conference on May 6 to talk about their plan to visit the company, whose ‘Oxy Sak Sak’ product was reported to have caused the biggest damage.

Kang Chan-Ho, a representative for the victims’ association, along with other three victims, Baek Do-Myeong, a professor at Seoul University’s public health department, Choi Ye-Yong, director of the center, and a Hong Kong environmental activist will make a trip to the company’s headquarters.

According to a government report, 80 percent of 530 victims and 77 percent of the 140 fatalities are known to have used ‘Oxy Sak Sak,’ the humidifier sterilizer.

Although several labor associations have named Reckitt Benckiser as a ‘killer’ company, the company hasn’t offered any words of consolation or apology to the victims.

The protesters will leave for the U.K on May 18 and have a press conference on May 19. They will also have a meeting with a member of the U.K Parliament on May 20.

The two organizations will continue to campaign for the victims, by boycotting Reckitt Benckiser products and sending letters of protest to the company.
