SEOUL, Nov. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyosung plans to showcase its new growth engines, from cutting-edge new materials like advanced carbon fiber and polyketone to a future banking solution, at Creative Korea 2014 held in Seoul until November 30.
Hyosung and North Jeolla Province have jointly established a Creative Economy Innovation Center, and plan to build a center for start-ups specialized in carbon fiber within the site of the company’s Jeonju factory. The South Korean business has lead the project by investing 1.24 trillion won.
Items made of carbon fiber, including smartphone cases, satellites, helmets and bicycles are on display at its booth. The company also disclosed all of its major technologies including polyketone, a new environmentally friendly material; the future banking solution, which simplifies banking processes; and recycled fiber made from waste resources.
