SEOUL, Jan. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Duty Free said Sunday it has introduced an artificial intelligence–based beauty experience zone at its Trade Center store in southern Seoul, offering customers personalized skin and makeup analysis through interactive digital tools.
The pop-up space, titled “AI Beauty Trip,” will operate on the ninth floor of the Trade Center location through April 15, the company said.
The experience features two AI-driven devices: a stand-type “Makeup AI,” which analyzes facial structure, proportions and personal color tones through photo imaging, and a mirror-style “Skin Pro AI,” designed to assess pores, oil levels, wrinkles and overall skin aging.
After completing the analysis, visitors can scan a QR code displayed on the screen to receive a detailed diagnostic report along with customized product recommendations.
Hyundai Duty Free said 36 beauty brands participating in the store are linked to the system, allowing access to information on roughly 800 products to generate tailored suggestions.
Customers who complete the AI experience and spend at least $50 on participating beauty brands at the Trade Center store will receive a prepaid gift card worth 10,000 won, redeemable immediately.
The initiative reflects the retailer’s push to blend technology with in-store shopping as duty-free operators seek to enhance customer engagement amid intensifying competition and shifting consumer preferences.
