SEOUL, May 21 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced Wednesday that it will become the first South Korean construction firm to showcase a garden installation at a major European horticultural exhibition, the RHS Flower Show at Wentworth Woodhouse 2025, organized by the Royal Horticultural Society in the United Kingdom.

The RHS Flower Shows, with over a century of history, are among the world’s most renowned garden exhibitions. Hyundai E&C’s participation marks the first time a Korean construction company has both entered a submission and physically built a garden on-site in Europe for the show.

Titled “Garden Whispers,” the installation was selected for the show’s competitive “Show Garden” category. The work is a collaboration between Hyundai E&C and Professor Choi Hye-young of Sungkyunkwan University, blending white architectural columns with ornamental flowering plants to create a serene and elegant atmosphere.

According to the company, the refined harmony of structure and flora received high praise from RHS judges.

The event is scheduled to run from July 16 to 20 at the historic Wentworth Woodhouse estate in South Yorkshire, a stately 18th-century mansion recognized as a British national heritage site.

“Garden Whispers” follows Hyundai’s earlier project “Library and Garden,” which was built at Olympic Park Foreon’s third complex in Seoul’s Songpa District. The new design is also set to be recreated at The H Bangbae, a residential development slated for completion in 2026.

Hyundai E&C said the initiative reflects its evolving commitment to lifestyle-centric urban design, integrating aesthetics and green spaces into residential architecture.
