SEOUL, July 22 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., a major builder in South Korea, said Wednesday that in collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group, it will introduce a ‘Home to Car – Car to Home’ service using built-in sound recognition devices.
The service uses Hyundai E&C’s ‘Voice Home’ built-in sound recognition system that enables remote car starting and door locking through voice commands.
The company will launch the service after rolling out the Voice Home system at ‘The H Xi Gaepo’ apartment complex in southern Seoul, which will start welcoming residents in August.
In the latter half of this year, it will also introduce the internet-of-things (IoT) home electronics control service that it developed through cooperation with Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc.
The IoT home electronics control service will create an environment where users can easily control robot cleaners or air purifiers with voice commands in an apartment living room or check the state of the laundry dryer from their bedrooms.
