SEOUL, May 1 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Company announced today its impressive double podium finish at the opening round of the 2023 TCR World Tour, which is considered the world’s premier touring car competition.
The Elantra N TCR (also known domestically as the Avante N TCR) achieved a double podium finish during the first final race of the 2023 TCR World Tour, held from April 28 to 30 (local time) at the Portimão Algarve International Circuit in Portugal.
The TCR World Tour is a series of nine global events selected from the larger TCR series. Points earned from these races determine the standings, with over 40 TCR series around the world, featuring 25 different car models from 16 brands and over 650 drivers.
Following nine races, the top 15 drivers with the most points will advance to the TCR World Finals, where the overall winner will be crowned later this year or early next year.
