SEOUL, Oct. 6 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Elevator Co., South Korea’s leading elevator maker, introduced on Monday a new Clean Moving Solution that can minimize physical contact in elevators.
The new solution is an upgraded version of the ‘walk-through’ technology that does not require elevator users to press buttons.
Users can call elevators using ‘H-Mobile Through,’ a smartphone app that represents the new solution.
Passengers can go to the destination floor without any physical contact by simply scanning the app on a special motion sensor located inside the elevator.
In addition, the Motion Call Button enables users to call elevators by waving their hands vertically.
The system also comes with Touchless Buttons that allow passengers to go to the destination floor without engaging in any physical contact, as well as Touchless Foot Buttons that detect movements of the foot to operate the elevator.
Hyundai Elevator also installed high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters to ensure clean air inside the new elevators.
These filters can recognize the elevator’s indoor temperature to automatically run fans, heaters, and air purifiers to maintain appropriate temperature and air quality.
