SEOUL, June 28 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Engineering unveiled Korea’s first AI plastering robot at Automatica 2023 in Munich, Germany, in collaboration with Roboblock System. The robot automates floor plastering tasks by precisely measuring concrete surfaces with a 3D scanner and using motors with plastering blades to smooth uneven areas.
Deployment of the robot improves productivity, reduces labor costs, and enhances construction quality. It operates separately from the work site, ensuring safety. The robot finds applications in smart factories, logistics warehouses, and buildings, preventing accidents from poor floor plastering.
Hyundai Engineering emphasizes the importance of smart construction technology research and development for efficiency and safety, engaging in various approaches including in-house development and partnerships.
