SEOUL, Nov. 16 (Korea Bizwire) – The G90 luxury sedan of South Korea’s top automaker Hyundai Motor Co. has been named one of three finalists in the North American Car and Truck of the Year Award, the automaker said Wednesday.

The Genesis G90, marketed in South Korea as the EQ900, is the sixth Hyundai vehicle to be named a finalist for the annual award.

The Hyundai Genesis BH was the first and only South Korean vehicle to have won the award, according to Hyundai Motor.

“The 2009 award won by the Genesis had greatly helped promote the high quality of Hyundai vehicles, the reason we are looking forward to the outcome of this year’s award, which will be announced in January,” it said in a press release.

The two other finalists in the passenger car segment are the Chevrolet Bolt and the Volvo S90.
