Hyundai Home Shopping Introduces “Deal Commerce” Concept

SEOUL, July 11 (Korea Bizwire)Hyundai Home Shopping Network Corp. said Monday it will be releasing the second episode of its entertainment-style “deal commerce” program, hosted by actor Kwon Hyuk-soo, on its official YouTube channel.

The concept of deal commerce was introduced in April as the industry’s first program based on the idea of price negotiation.

In the upcoming episode, the program will feature the global outdoor brand Stanley.

This unique program follows a “one-source multi-channel” format, where specific products and brands undergo negotiated discount rates, and the agreed-upon prices are applied for sales through the Hyundai H Mall, the online shopping mall of Hyundai Home Shopping Network.

The first episode, which aired in April, showcased the protein product Selex at a discounted rate of up to 61 percent through price negotiations, garnering popularity among young consumers.

Of those who watched the YouTube broadcast, 65 percent were in their 20s and 30s. The number of visitors to the promotional event held at Hyundai H Mall was approximately 18 times higher than other similar events.
