SEOUL, Oct. 18 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor Company announced on October 17 the launch of The New Casper, an improved version of its compact SUV, three years after the model’s debut in 2021.

The New Casper represents Hyundai’s effort to refine its entry in the increasingly competitive mini-SUV market. The updated model features design enhancements aimed at projecting a more robust image and includes additional safety and convenience features popular among consumers.

Exterior modifications include a black high-gloss radiator grille with LED projection headlamps, along with redesigned front and rear bumpers and skid plates, all contributing to a more assertive stance. The New Casper achieves a drag coefficient of 0.34, a 6% improvement over its predecessor, thanks to an aerodynamically optimized grille and wheel design.

In terms of safety, the vehicle now comes standard with Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) and cruise control. Optional features include Highway Driving Assist (HDA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), and Smart Cruise Control.

Hyundai has also improved the Casper’s convenience features. A button-type switch has been added to the passenger door for easier operation, and an electric parking brake with auto-hold functionality is now available.

The infotainment system has been upgraded to include a 10.25-inch navigation screen with wireless updates, Hyundai CarPay, Car-to-Home connectivity, and natural language voice recognition. Previously optional features such as a rear-view monitor and full auto air conditioning are now standard.

Driving performance improvements include larger engine mount insulators to reduce vibration and noise, and increased rigidity in the cowl crossbar connecting the body and steering components.

The New Casper introduces two new exterior colors — Sienna Orange Metallic and Abyss Black Pearl — and adds a beige and orange-brown two-tone option for the interior.

Additionally, Hyundai is launching a new base model of the all-electric Casper, dubbed the Premium trim. This variant features a 42 kWh NCM (Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese) battery produced by Hyundai’s joint venture with LG Energy Solution, offering a range of 278 kilometers on a single charge.
