SEOUL, Feb. 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Mobis has developed a cutting-edge “Moving Speaker” system designed to work in sync with rollable displays in vehicle cockpits, the company announced on February 12.
The system enhances in-car audio quality by adjusting speaker positioning to match various driving scenarios while also contributing to a more sophisticated interior design.
Hyundai Mobis’ Moving Speaker technology is engineered to function seamlessly with its rollable display, which the company first introduced in 2024. The rollable display features a 30-inch screen that dynamically adjusts its size to optimize the viewing experience for navigation, video streaming, and music playback.
The Moving Speakers, installed on the left, right, and center of the vehicle’s front interior, shift their angles based on the display’s configuration.
By minimizing audio interference from surrounding surfaces, the system delivers superior sound quality.

When the vehicle is stationary or in autonomous driving mode, the display extends to its maximum size, directing audio toward the windshield for an immersive entertainment experience. While driving, the speakers reposition to direct sound toward the driver’s seat for clearer, more vivid acoustics.
