SEOUL, July 19 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group is beginning test runs for an integrated logistics solution that uses 1-ton Porter electric trucks to deliver food products.
Hyundai announced Sunday that it will begin the test run for a food delivery service using electric trucks from July to October.
The trial service will be available within a three-kilometer radius of Hyundai Department Store Apgujeong. A total of four trucks equipped with a cold chain system will take charge of food delivery.
Hyundai plans to introduce an eco-friendly, fresh food delivery service that offers delivery of fruits, vegetables, and meat within 10 to 30 minutes of an order being placed.
The company will also introduce delivery reservations, which will allow customers to have their products delivered at the time of their choice.
