SEOUL, Nov. 12 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Co. on Tuesday forged a partnership with the Ulsan metropolitan city to cooperate in establishing an overall municipal ecosystem based on clean hydrogen energy within the industrial city in South Korea’s southeast.
Under their memorandum of understanding, Hyundai and the city government will collaborate in developing and applying hydrogen technology across the entire value chain within the city, including in areas of production and transportation.
The two sides will also cooperate in expanding the adoption of hydrogen-powered mobility, including those of tractors and forklifts, the company said.
Furthermore, Hyundai and Ulsan city plan to cooperate in developing hydrogen cargo tractors and operating pilot vehicles on various logistics routes originating from Ulsan.
