SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group said Monday that it will host a software developer conference next month in Seoul as part of efforts by the automotive giant to transition to a software-defined vehicle manufacturer and expand its application ecosystem.
The Pleos 25 conference will be held at COEX in southern Seoul on March 28, during which the group will unveil core technologies essential for Hyundai Motor Group’s software development.
The event will also provide opportunities for collaboration with mobile app developers and business partners by showcasing next-generation infotainment application development environments and a dedicated software marketplace.
The group plans to unveil its new software brand, named Pleos, which embodies Hyundai’s vision of integrating data across vehicles, devices and spaces.
Additionally, the group will introduce its new open software platform to offer developers and partners access to software development kits and application programming interfaces for Hyundai Motor Group vehicles.
