SEOUL, April 27 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group said Monday that it will begin a four-month trial of M.Vibe, the company’s newest integrated mobility service for electric vehicle (EV) drivers with pets.
Customers can book pet medical treatments, beauty salons, and accommodations using M.Vibe, and easily travel with pets onboard a specially designed Kia Ray EV.
Hyundai Motor Group will take charge of service planning, operation, and redesigning platforms and vehicles. KST Mobility Co., a local EV taxi operator, will be in charge of service operations.
The redesigned Kia Ray EV can reallocate its indoor space to fit a number of pets of various sizes. The front passenger seat has been replaced with a driver guard.
“EVs are quieter and have less vibration than other vehicles, allowing a better travelling environment for both drivers and their pets,” the company said.
Customers can also use transportation services for pets by typing in the point of origin and destination.
