SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai Motor Co. said Monday it plans to release an off-road themed variant of the Casper Electric, the company’s entry-level electric vehicle (EV), in South Korea this week.
The Casper Electric Cross retains the core design identity of the original model, known as Inster Electric overseas, introduced last year, while incorporating off-road elements to appeal to adventure-seeking customers. It will be released Tuesday.
The front features a radiator grille exclusive to the new variant, along with matte gray metallic skid plates, creating a robust appearance.
On the side, 17-inch alloy wheels and custom side moldings reinforce the model’s sporty feel, while a roof rack comes standard to meet the needs of outdoors-oriented customers.
The Casper Electric Cross is equipped with a 49 kilowatt-hours nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery, providing a driving range of 285 kilometers per charge. It also features a fast-charging capability, allowing the battery to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
