Hyundai Motor to Showcase Transport, Robotics Tech at Smart City Expo

SEOUL, Sept. 2 (Korea Bizwire)Hyundai Motor Group said Monday it will showcase its latest technologies related to smart city infrastructure at the 2024 World Smart City Expo Korea (WSCE) to be held this week.

The South Korean automotive giant will feature various technologies related to smart city infrastructure themed on transport, logistics and robotics, and eco-friendly energy at the three-day trade show set to kick off Tuesday at the KINTEX exhibition center in Goyang, northwest of Seoul.

Co-hosted by the transport and science ministries, the WSCE is the largest global expo in the Asia-Pacific region dedicated to sharing and discussing the latest technologies, policies and solutions related to smart cities.

Hyundai Motor Group has prepared a range of smart city-related technology, including the Digital Curated Experience, or DICE, a personal mobility platform that offers tailored services through artificial intelligence-based software technology.

It will also feature a prototype of the S-A2, a vertical takeoff and landing urban air vehicle, being developed with the goal of commercialization by 2028.

Additionally, the group will showcase logistics mobility solutions, such as its parking robot system, as well as eco-friendly energy and smart infrastructure solutions.

“By leveraging the capabilities of our group companies, we are committed to building people-centered smart cities that ensure sustainable and convenient living in the key urban areas of space, mobility and energy,” Kim Heung-soo, vice president and head of the global strategy office at Hyundai Motor Group, said.
