SEOUL, June 30 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Co. has teamed up with South Korean and Czech hydrogen associations and private hydrogen-related enterprises in both countries to establish a hydrogen industrial foundation in the Czech Republic.
The carmaker and its logistics unit Hyundai Glovis Co. on Tuesday (local time) signed a memorandum of understanding with 13 associations and private enterprises of both countries in Prague.
Under terms of the MOU, they will promote cooperation throughout the entire hydrogen ecosystem ranging from production to storage, transport and utilization, aimed at establishing a hydrogen ecosystem in the Czech Republic.
Hyundai Motor will supply hydrogen fuel cell systems and support related technologies for the participant companies, including Czech car manufacturer ZEBRA GROUP s.r.o.
Moreover, it will support the development of hydrogen mobility, including compact multi-purpose hydrogen trucks optimized for the Czech market.
To expand hydrogen charging infrastructure in the Czech Republic, Hyundai Motor united forces with the Hydrogen Fusion Alliance.
It will provide its know-how in the establishment and operation of hydrogen charging stations while sharing its hydrogen charging station-related technologies.
On the back of its strength as a supply chain management specialist, Hyundai Glovis will be responsible for the distribution of hydrogen energy throughout the entire spectrum of the hydrogen supply network from production to utilization, while providing transport service for hydrogen commercial vehicles and components.
