SEOUL, July 27 (Korea Bizwire)Hyundai Motor Co. said Wednesday it will create a dedicated task force aimed at addressing low birth rate and child-rearing concerns.

The dedicated team will develop a comprehensive support plan that covers the entire life cycle of employees, encompassing marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, child-rearing, and schooling.

Notably, Hyundai is the first among large domestic conglomerates to establish a dedicated team specifically dedicated to tackling low birth rate issues at both management and labor levels.

As the initial step, the dedicated team will visit and present gifts to the family of a Hyundai employee who has eight children.

During this visit, they will conduct an interview to better understand the challenges faced by employees in raising multiple children and to gather valuable recommendations.

The insights gained from the interview with the employee’s family will be actively incorporated into the development of systems to address low birth rate and child-rearing challenges.

Hyundai already operates a range of programs aimed at supporting employees, including marriage vacations, marriage bonuses, pre- and post-natal vacations, birth support bonuses, and in-house child care centers.
